ROAD CONDITIONS

Main graded road: open into Guadalupe Canyon. Last 2 miles is poor due to summer rain. Trucks and SUV's can make it in 2 wheel drive.

No passenger cars allowed. You need a vehicle with decent ground clearance.

Laguna Salada Dry Lake road: passable but summer rains have turned some areas muddy. Check with the Canyon de Guadalupe website for latest updates. WARNING: VEHICLES RETURNING FROM MEXICO WITH HEAVY AMOUNTS OF MUD MAY BE NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE US.
